Stuck in the middle of a hurricane on Halloween, the members of OPR must protect not only themselves, but also the television crew, and find a way to bring a stop to the Phantoms and the Ritual of Sevens This is the first horror novel from Terence West. From the first page, he deftly proves he was meant to write this genre. Word after word, you'll find yourself looking out the window, or wondering what might be lurking under your bed. FACTS This is actually not the origin of Nick Bishop and the Office of Paranormal Research. During the summer of 2001 Terence was joined by several actors in the Elko area to film a short film entitled Ash. The script for the film introduced most of the characters from OPR as they took on an ancient vampire. The film was never finished, but thecharacters live on in the books. Many of the character names, and even the imaginary town of Stone Book, Florida, were taken from an early draft of an incomplete vampire themed novel entitled Stone Crest. Terence first heard of the Shadow People on the nationally syndicated radio show Coast to Coast with Art Bell.
